What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device so it can remember you between requests and pages. "Similar technologies" cover things that do the same job, such as browser localStorage and sessionStorage, and device-level identifiers. Throughout this policy, "cookies" means all of these.
Your Consent and Control
- 1.Essential cookies are always on. They are strictly necessary to sign you in, keep your session secure, and run core features. Under the GDPR and ePrivacy rules, these do not require your consent, and turning them off would break the site.
- 2.Non-essential cookies need your opt-in. Analytics and marketing cookies are only set after you agree through our cookie banner. If you decline, we do not set them.
- 3.You can change your mind anytime. Update or withdraw your choice through the cookie banner, and clear existing cookies from your browser whenever you like. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we already did lawfully.
Categories We Use
We group the cookies and similar technologies we use into four categories:
| Category | What it does | Consent | Typical lifespan |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | Keeping you signed in and your session secure. The platform cannot function without these. | Always on | Session, up to ~1 week |
| Preferences | Remembering your choices, such as your theme, dashboard settings, and your cookie decision itself. | Always on | Up to ~12 months |
| Analytics | Understanding how the platform is used and how it performs, in aggregate, so we can improve it. We use privacy-friendly analytics. | Opt-in | Session to ~12 months |
| Marketing | Measuring campaigns and, where applicable, advertising identifiers. We keep these to a minimum. | Opt-in | Up to ~12 months |
Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies are set by trusted providers who help us run the platform. They act on our behalf and are not permitted to use the data for their own purposes:
- 1.Cloudflare. Our network and security layer, which sets strictly-necessary cookies to filter bots and malicious traffic.
- 2.Vercel. Hosts the website and provides privacy-friendly, largely cookieless performance and usage analytics.
- 3.Fingerprint. A device-fingerprinting service used only to prevent fraud and multi-accounting. It is stored as a random string with no link to your personal information.
- 4.Discord and Roblox. Only involved if you choose to link those accounts, at which point their own cookies and policies apply on their side.
Managing Cookies in Your Browser
Do Not Track
There is no single industry standard for how sites should respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals, so we do not rely on them. Instead, we simply never set non-essential cookies unless you have opted in through our banner, whatever your browser signals.
